ANet caters to GvG'ers, and winning halls enough times for peope to reckognize your tag is not hard to do at all. With HA being more dead now than ever before, this is a really bad idea until ANet makes some positive changes.
But don't worry, they won't.

If they're any good, you'll be able to consistently see them under the "Hall of Heroes" tab. The top guild HA games should just be eliminated completely.
I like how you mention GANK, but really, you don't learn anything by watching them play.

it's not about getting famous, its about teaching the new players how to play. (let's see, r100 aren't always very skilled: e.g. (i wont say it but it starts with a s and ends with a g). Many maps require tactics that cannot be learned by watching the halls (eg: cap point), and allowing us to watch teams like GANK and LotP play it, will probably help teaching us (the newbies) the ropes of these maps.

There is no HA guild rating so this is not gonna hapen. Besided that u won't learn anything by watching pro ppl in action and guru or even pve gw wiki contain a lot of useful information about HA maps and their objectives.

You left out sup?
they been holding a lot latently and they're number 1 in gvg as well.
It is too late to add HA ladder but yeah I agree that the gvg rating in HA TV mode does not make sense... you can be pwnage at gvg but crap in HA...

Not really. It has it's own meta and techniques, but you see top gvg guilds hitting halls easily "inbetween" the monthlys. Important skills like preprot, spiking and faking etc. are universal, and the rest can be picked up quickly by anyone with that level of dedication.

Half those guilds are one-build wonders, or only hold during dead hours anyways.
It would be nice to have something like the "My Guild Matches" for HA, but I don't think it's really worth it, given the time of an average HA match.

Thats because they always get helped by some random sway group.
but looking at the OP's list, it's already clear that this is a bad idea since its completely subjective. more than half of those guilds in that list are really bad imo.

there is no objective way to determine "being good at HA". Therefor, it's impossible to make a decent list.
As for learning purposes, HA has small maps with a single objective (being (priest) annihilation, relic run, king of the hill or capture points). It's not hard to figure out how to do that.

Lawl, QFT
Looking at his list, I COULD live with having [ugly], [GANK] and [CneX] on Obs. Just for the sake of them being the only real old-school guilds worthy of mentioning...

So how can guilds get in this observe list? If there is a system for that then it is not so bad. Though It's fine as it is now.

Theoretically speaking-
You could have some sort of "Real Time" poll on GW.com where a player could go and vote for any guild he/she wanted to get on the OBs mode list. Then the top X number guilds would have every match Obsified. Anet would never do it, but meh. Most matches aren't worth obsing except for maybe cap points and Courtyard imo.

None of those guilds mentioned are particularly good. They rely on builds rather than skill to win anything. Therefore, all you will learn from watching those guilds is what build will get same caliber players fame. So basically you are asking for easier methods of copying tard ha'ers builds.
